A few years ago, when my niece was visiting, out of the blue she said, "I love coming over here. It always reminds me of Christmas!" I replied, "Christmas? I don't have any Christmas decorations sitting out, Honey." She said, "No, that's not what I meant. It's the feeling it gives me ... I feel happy, comfortable, safe, and loved. I'm at peace when I'm here. Everywhere I look it just says Aunt Kathy!" That was quite possibly the best compliment I've ever received! I've always felt the interior of a person's home says a lot about them.
I made this memo board out of an old window screen. There are a few rips in the screen. I think the rips add to its primitive flair! The screen also serves the purpose of holding notes and memos by using small magnets. I stenciled and painted the chicken theme fabric behind the screen. It's been a conversation starter more than once... People love it!
