As your life changes, so will your circle... and what a ride my life's been! Here you'll find a collection of some of my life experiences, as well as my random ramblings & some things I just find interesting... in no particular order.
Love isn't living happily ever after. It's not waking up well rested and making breakfast every morning and eating together, while exchanging pleasant conversation. It's not cuddling in bed and falling asleep peacefully every night. It's not a spotless house that's filled with never-ending joy, laughter, and lovemaking... because that doesn't happen in real life... Let me break a real relationship down for y'all: Love is you not kicking them out of bed because they're snoring. It's you not punching them in the face when they steal all the covers. It's you not telling them they have killer morning breath. It's slammed doors and harsh words at times. It’s stubbornly disagreeing and giving the silent treatment until your heart heals... and, then comes forgiveness. It’s coming home to the same person, day after day, after day... that one you know without a doubt, loves and cares for you, in spite of the despicable person you can be at times. It's about laughing about past mistakes, and being proud of overcoming them. It's about dirty dishes and laundry and unmade beds & disagreeing over who should do the household chores, then finally agreeing to pitch in and help each other. It's about biting your tongue instead of nagging, because you've finally learned to choose your battles carefully. It's about eating cheap so you can save up for an occasional date night. It's when you have an emotional breakdown and they lay with you, holding you, telling you everything is going to be okay... and you believe them because you know they'll help you through it. It's about still loving them, even though sometimes they drive you absolutely crazy! Living with the person you love is not always easy... in fact, sometimes it's so hard... but what it boils down to is this: Love is beautiful and amazing, as well as sometimes frustrating, confusing, and maddening. But... it's one of the best things you'll ever experience!
